Student Alumni Ambassadors at Skelton Place

At Adventists in Action, it's our goal to spread love in the community. This is always such a rewarding goal, no matter how many people join us. However, when we get a chance to partner with you to partner with you to spread the love, I feel like the effects are multiplied so many times over!

Last February we got the chance to partner with UIUC's Student Alumni Ambassadors Organization to bring a very special Bags of Hugs Event to Skelton Place. This event, called Love United, was a step up from our usual delivery of bag lunches. Instead, this time we brought a full soul-food themed meal to the residents and shared the meal with them. Our lovely student volunteers were absolutely instrumental in making this event a success: serving up plates for all our guests, holding up signs for our health message presentation, and handing out flyers and literature to everybody. Most importantly of all, their cheerful smiles and enthusiastic helpfulness brought joy to everyone who saw them. I'm so grateful for their amazing help. It was truly a day when Love United.
