Bringing Love One Bag at a Time
Adventists in Action is committed to helping the neediest among the Champaign-Urbana area community. Bags of Hugs is a ministry where we visit the Juvenile Detention Center, Courage Connection... We bring bag lunches and or we fellowship with the residents. We adapt our program according to the place that we go. We would love your help, whether it is in terms of time preparing and delivering the lunches, or in donations of funds to cover the cost of the meals. Let us know what you would like to do! CanTeen Run
Courage Connection
Ministry to help the homeless
Van goes out to deliver meals, clothes, and other basic necessities to about 20-30 people in need Sunday afternoons and Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings
We are partnering with Canteen Run. So we will be packaging bags of hugs with sandwiches and others items once a month (usually the 4th weekend of each month), contact us for questions or if you would like to volunteer. Then the same weekend we will be in the van distributing the bags of hugs and others items. This is a great opportunity to serve the community. Praise the LORD!
Bags Of Hugs program goes to Courage Connection, the Women's Shelter every month. We usually go any day in the last week of each month, please contact us to be involved and to know the scheduled date for each month. We prepared bags with food items and with encouraging literature, others items can be donated, please check out courage connection wish list. We are here to help you to grow as a volunteer as we grow with your help and when we help others can grow too. Let's continue spreading the love of Christ in the community.
